Did you know that Purple Heart Homes has an Endowe Did you know that Purple Heart Homes has an Endowed Scholarship?

Meet Katherine Baich! 💜

Katherine has been a long-time Girl Scout and progressed towards her Gold Award. After much consideration, Katherine decided to partner with Purple Heart Homes in creating The Katherine Baich Endowed Scholarship.

“My hopes are that this endowment can make it possible for Veteran families to reach their dreams and potential.” 🇺🇸

Katherine's Endowed Scholarship provides $2,500 towards college housing for the children and grandchildren of service-connected disabled Veterans.

Check out the following link for requirements and guidelines: WWW.PPHUSA.ORG/ENDOWED-SCHOLARSHIP

Applications are due by April 30th!

The Statesville Career and Technical School is one of our United Way of Iredell County (@uwiredell) partner schools!

The masonry students visited our warehouse to view the PHH Tiny Home production. While in our warehouse, the students worked with our Project Manager, Louie, to build a Tiny Home Deck for a service-connected disabled Veteran.

We are excited to welcome the students back to Purple Heart Homes in the near future to continue their work! #LoveUnitedIredell

We are Veterans… We are also the sons, daughters We are Veterans… We are also the sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, spouses, and those who are proud to have a connection to our nation’s military. Join the family, and help us provide much needed assistance to Veterans of all eras.

Purple Heart Homes is a 501(c)3 public charity that was founded in 2008 by John Gallina and the late Dale Beatty, two combat wounded Veterans. After being injured in Iraq in 2004, they returned to their community and received a warm welcome and grateful appreciation for their service. They began to question why all Veterans didn’t get the same levels of support and assistance from society.

The answer isn’t easy, but Purple Heart Homes fills the gaps in housing through the Veterans’ Aging In Place and Veterans Home Ownership Programs. From building a ramp for a Veteran of World War II, to providing home ownership opportunities to younger Veterans, our programs are designed out of necessity and fit the specific needs of the Veteran population.
