10 cyclists each climbing 10,000 ft. in elevation over a total distance of approximately 64 miles. Tough? Yes. Crazy? Maybe. It’s definitely a physical challenge, but so is living with a service-connected disability. In support of our United States Veterans, cyclists are rising to the challenge. Your support will enable Purple Heart Homes to continue to bring freedom into the homes of our heroes.
Due to road conditions, Take That Hill cannot support spectators. But check out the Take That Hill Facebook page during the event as we will be doing a live stream of the ride!
To donate, text PHH to 26989 or fill out the form to the right.
Honor On The Hill
The Take That Hill cyclists will sweat, their muscles will strain, and they are going to be tired, really tired, but it is nothing like the challenges that our military Veterans have faced. The cyclists want every push of their pedals to be for Veterans and the sacrifices they made. On each trip up the mountain, Take That Hill cyclists will carry American flags in honor of specific Veterans. It’s called Honor On The Hill.
Do you have a Veteran that you want honored? Sponsor a 12″x18″ flag and have the Veteran in your life recognized. This could be a beloved family member or friend, either living or no longer with us. The flag is sewn, high quality, and made in America.
As a result of your sponsorship, you or a person of your choosing, will receive the flag that went up the hill. The flag will be packaged and mailed with a certificate commemorating the event and your Veteran. All flag sponsorship proceeds will support Purple Heart Homes and their mission of improving the lives of Veterans one home at a time, therefore honoring your Veteran will pay it forward to other Veterans in need of assistance.
Make this Veteran’s Day special by sponsoring a flag and giving your Veteran Honor On The Hill.
