Multiple cyclists each climbing 10,000 ft. in elevation over a total distance of approximately 64 miles. Tough? Yes. Crazy? Maybe. It’s definitely a physical challenge, but so is living with a service-connected disability. In support of our United States Veterans, cyclists are rising to the challenge. Your support will enable Purple Heart Homes to continue to bring freedom into the homes of our heroes.
To donate, text PHH to 26989 or fill out the form to the right.
The Take That Hill cyclists will sweat, their muscles will strain, and they are going to be tired, but nothing compares to the challenges that our military Veterans and families have faced. The cyclists want every push of their pedals to be in honor of Veterans and the sacrifices they made. On each trip up the mountain, Take That Hill cyclists will carry American flags and Purple Heart Homes flags in honor/memory of Veterans or Spouses/Caregivers of Veterans.
Do you have a Veteran or spouse/caregiver of a Veteran that you want to be honored? Sponsor a 12″x18″ flag and have that special person in your life recognized. This could be a beloved family member or friend, either living or no longer with us. The flag is high quality and made in America.
As a result of your sponsorship, the person of your choosing will receive the flag after our event. The flag will be packaged and mailed with a certificate commemorating the event and your Veteran/caregiver. All proceeds from the flags will support Purple Heart Homes and our mission of “improving the lives of Veterans one home at a time.” By honoring your Veteran through the flag sponsorship, you will “pay it forward” to other Veterans who are in need of assistance.
Make this Veteran’s Day special by honoring Veterans/caregivers and supporting the mission of Purple Heart Homes.
Due to limited parking on top of Barrett Mountain, the event will not have a large on-site crowd. There will be a live broadcast on various social media platforms through Echelon Racing Promotions.
This year there will also be an opportunity for cyclists around the world to compete in Take That Hill on indoor trainers and the RGT platform (www.RGTcycling.com).
