How to Donate – Individual

Individual Donations make up approximately 30% of the total funding at PHH.

Your donations play a critical role in the scale at which we can serve our Veterans. We offer many options, from a one-time donation to a monthly giving program. Holding a 501(c)3 status, all donations are qualified as tax-deductible.

Many employers offer corporate matching programs. If your employer has a matching program, they may match a percentage of every dollar you give. This type of donation could double your contribution. Please check with your employer on such programs.

Our goal is to sustain and grow our donation base. Therefore, we encourage donations to be monthly. This donation path provides a model for constant support for those Veterans on our ever-growing program list. There is strength in numbers. Many people giving what they can afford can collectively change lives.

How does PHH help the families of veterans directly?

By empowering Veterans, their families and caregivers are provided a sense of relief and unburdened from the past’s daily challenges. Investing equity in the home offers financial security for the Veteran and the family’s future.

Why should someone donate to Purple Heart Homes?

Donating to Purple Heart Homes ensures that we can continue our mission of providing housing solutions and employment opportunities to qualified Veterans of all eras. Roof replacements, HVAC replacements, ADA bath installations, and ADA ramp builds are samples of the types of projects your donations fund. We can’t do it without you!

What does safe and accessible housing for veterans look like?

Safe and accessible housing looks different for each Veteran. Whether home repair, renovation, acquiring housing in NC or providing employment, we take a personal approach with every Veteran we assist with. Each project is catered to the individual need to provide the most impactful outcome for the Veteran being served.
