Mr. Sanker is a NAVY Veteran that served from 1997 to 2008. During his time in service, he was a Damage Controlman and a Steelworker.
While he loved both jobs, Mr. Sanker was able to travel worldwide as a Damage Controlman on his vessel. Aside from his deployments, Mr. Sanker experienced Denmark, Germany, Australia, Japan, Philippines, Hong Kong, and so many other countries and cultures!
Unlike most military personnel, the Veteran did not join the Navy in his late teens or early twenties. Instead, he was thirty-one years old when he joined the service. The Veteran reminisced on his days of service, saying, “It was the smartest thing I ever did in my entire life… joining the military.”
Mr. Sanker went on to explain: “You remember the good times 99% of the time over the bad times. You remember your friends, traveling, and seeing this and doing that. Just like any other job or family, you’re going to have arguments and some bad experiences, but you sit back and remember it, and you remember the good times 99% of the time.”
The Veteran did not want to leave the NAVY in 2008; however, his full-body Rheumatoid Arthritis began creating physical barriers for Mr. Sanker. For years, Mr. Sanker has lived in Tennessee without an HVAC system. Purple Heart Homes was proud to provide an HVAC installation for the Veteran’s home.
“I appreciate the assistance you guys helped me with. It meant a lot to me. Just having an HVAC system throughout my house made it so much more comfortable.”
Thank you, Mr. Sanker for years of service! Welcome to the PHH
family!
