Bruce was born in Columbus Ohio and raised In Darbydale Ohio.

Bruce selected the Army because growing up he always enjoyed playing in the mud and wanted to be the boots on the ground.

During a helocast in the middle of winter, he over-rotated on his jump, causing him to belly smack onto the ice-cold water as he landed.

He was medically retired at the rank of Sergeant/E5 and the greatest award of his service is his purple heart.

In the Army, he was a 12B/Combat Engineer.

Purple Heart Homes, in collaboration with Owens Corning, will be helping Bruce and his family by re-roofing his home.
